Description
The AF DC-NIKKOR 105mm f/2D Lens from Nikon is an FX format telephoto prime lens effective for portraiture and other medium telephoto applications. Its fast f/2 maximum aperture allows sharp imaging in low light and shallow depth of field control. Furthermore, its unique Defocus Image Control ring creates smooth and subtle out-of-focus areas in either the foreground or background of your image. A rounded diaphragm also adds to more natural looking out-of-focus areas and a manual aperture control ring is supported.
With a rear focus system, only the lens’ rear elements move during focus for faster AF performance and an M-A mode ring switches between manual and auto focus modes. A built-in lens hood is provided to deflect unwanted light.
Autofocus is not supported by D40, D40x, D60, D3000, D3100, D3200, D3300, D5000, D5100, D5200, D5300 cameras–lens may be used with manual focus only. Be sure to check your camera’s lens-compatibility information before selecting a new lens.
